Competition Pressures of the Albanian Agriculture and Agro processing Sectors in the context of Albania’s Integration Processes – how to face the Challenge |

The workshop aimed at strengthening the capacities of the Albanian business community for an efficient reaction toward increased competition pressure in the Agriculture and Agro processing sectors. This was achieved through providing accurate information on the sector’s main trends and indicators, as well as promoting participation in a qualified debate on the related issues.
The discussion were based in three main presentations by ACIT research team in cooperation with experts of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Consumer Protection.
A number of 64 participants attended this event (ACIT staff not included).
- 16 (25%) were from the Gov&Gov agencies,
- 4 (6%) from the Buss Assoc.,
- 24 (38%) from NGOs & Dev Agencies,
- 9 (14%) from the commercial&economic offices of foreign embassies in Albania,
- 4 (6%) from the Business Community,
- 2 (3%) academics,
- 5 (8%) from the Media,
- 43 (67%) male and 21 (33%) female
